DIV. A
Kdub v Stu961

Schwartzel 2 v Westwood 5
Donald 12 v Allenby 2
Jiminez 32 v Donald 12
Wood 2 v F. Molinari 27 (2-2)
van Pelt 12 v Fowler -2 (3-2)
Barnes 7 v Molder 2 (4-2)

Kdub pushed hard by Stu, who can consider himself unlucky not to get at least a point from this. Stu is now going to find it very tough to qualify

tgp v Spencer4

Westwood 5 v Westwood 5
Kaymer 17 v Kaymer 17
Donaldson -2 v Donald 12
Storm 12 v F. Molinari 27 (1-3)
Zanotti 2 v Dredge 2 (1.5-3.5)
Levin 2 v Barnes 7 (1.5-4.5)

A big win for Spencer in a high scoring encounter, tgp may now need to win his final 3 games to advance

Hellmole v BigJonS

McIlroy 20 v Furyk 2
Crane 2 v Schwartzel 2
P. Hanson 17 v Donald 12
JM Singh 7 v Wood 2 (3.5-0.5)
Marino 2 v GFC -2 (4.5-0.5)
Maybin 2 v Dixon -2 (5.5-0.5)

Big Jon's season is in danger of going down the Swannee pdq, back to back defeats sees him drop out of the top 4. Hellmole chalks up the biggest win of the season to date & must fancy her chances of a QF place now.

TFG v Pa102aw

Furyk 2 v Schwartzel 2
Schwartzel 2 v E. Molinari 2
Scott 2 v Crane 2
Gay 7 v GFC -2 (2.5-1.5)
Crane 2 v Cabrera-Bello 2 (3-2)
Davies 2 v Ogilvie 12 (3-3)

Another poor effort from TFG but they manage to scramble another point, quite how they are riding their luck to reamin top of the division remains a mystery. Another point for Pa keeps him in the hunt

MU#1Fan v Bye

A bye week proves costly for MU#1Fan as they drop out of the top 4

1. TFG 6-3-2-1-19.5-16.5-8 (MU#, Bye, Hell)
T2. Spencer4 6-3-1-2-21-15-7 (bye, Kdub, BJS)
T2. Hellmole 5-3-1-1-18-12-7 (Pa, MU#, TFG)
4. Kdub 6-3-1-2-19.5-16.5-7 (tgp, Sp4, Bye)
------------------------------
5. MU#1Fan 5-2-1-2-16-14-5 (TFG, Hell, Stu)
6. BigJonS 5-2-1-2-13.5-16.5-5 (Stu, tgp, Sp4)
7. Pa102aw 5-1-2-2-14-16-4 (Hell, Stu, tgp)
8. TGP 5-2-0-3-13.5-16.5-4 (Kdub, BJS, Pa)
9. Stu961 5-0-1-4-9-21-1 (BJS, Pa, MU#)

TFG continues to lead, quite how no-one knows. However his rather poor points difference may ultimately prove costly. Hellmole looks like being the strongest challenger for the title, with her game in hand & superior points difference. On the other hand Kdub looks vulnerable having played an extra game on all those below him. Stu enters miracle territory now and simply has to win all 3 games and hope other results go his way.

Next week
Jul 08 07:30 Loch Lomond GC - Grp Match 7/9 / John Deere Classic - Grp Mtch 7/9

DIV. B
Trickster v Exeter Up Start
(Game of the Week)

Westwood 5 v Kaymer 17
P. Hanson 17 v Furyk 2
Noh 2 v Donald 12
Merrick 7 v Wood 2 (2-2)
Canizares 27 v Cejka -2 (3-2)
Luiten 2 v Blanks 2 (3.5-2.5)

A great win for Trickster, although both combatants will still be confident of progressing to the latter stages

Padmole v Hotpot

Westwood 5 v Westwood 5
Watney 21 v Donald 12
Jaidee -2 v F. Molinari 27
E. Molinari 2 v Fowler -2 (2.5-1.5)
F. Molinari 27 v de Jonge 2 (3.5-1.5)
Petrovic 2 v Jones -2 (4.5-1.5)

Paddy finally records his first victory and in quite some style. Hotpot going cold despite his bluster early in the week.

Mr Green v Jonathan

Westwood 5 v Westwood 5
McIlroy 20 v Schwartzel 2
Furyk 2 v Donald 12
Moore 32 v Rose 37 (1.5-2.5)
van Pelt 12 v Crane 2 (2.5-2.5)
Donaldson -2 v Barnes 7 (2.5-3.5)

Like Padmole, Jonathan finally gets a win & Mr Green is now under pressure to qualify.

Logans Run v Toffeelover

Furyk 2 v Donald 12
Jaidee -2 v Yang -2
Crane 2 v F. Molinari 27
Noh 2 v Davies 2 (1-3)
Pe. Lawrie 2 v Trahan -2 (2-3)
Jones -2 v van Pelt 12 (2-4)

Toffeelover leaps back into the top 4 with a comfortable win against the misfiring Logans run

Lister v Bye

1. Lister 5-3-2-0-19-11-8 (Log R, Mr G, Hot)
2. Trickster 6-3-2-1-20.5-15.5-8 (Pad, Hot, Bye)
3. Toffeelover 5-4-0-1-16.5-13.5-8 (Mr G, Exe, Pad)
4. Exeter Up Start 5-3-1-1-17-13-7 (Jon, Toff, Mr G)
--------------------------------
5. Hotpot 6-2-2-2-17.5-18.5-6 (Bye, Tric, List)
6. Logans Run 6-2-0-4-15-21-4 (List, Bye, Jon)
7. Mr Green 5-1-1-3-14-16-3 (Toff, List, Exe)
8. Padmole 5-1-0-4-13-17-2 (Tric, Jon, Toff)
9. Jonathan 5-1-0-4-11.5-18.5-2 (Exe, Pad, Log R)

In typical Jonathan style he somehow manages to drop a place despite winning his game  Division B looks like cutting up into a 5 horse race with the bottom 4 all needing to win all their remaining games to have a sniff of the playoffs.

Next week
Jul 08 07:30 Loch Lomond GC - Grp Match 7/9 / John Deere Classic - Grp Mtch 7/9

Trickster v Padmole
Mr Green v Toffeelover
Lister v Logans Run (Grudge game)
Jonathan v Exeter Up-start
Hotpot v Bye

The top 4 all match up with the bottom 4, can any of them cause an upset.

A woeful showing from Kdub putting a serious dent in his quarter final aspirations. However tgp puts himself back into the mix.

Hellmole v Pa102aw

Mickelson -2 v Vilegas 2
Els -2 v Schwartzel 2
Marino -2 v E. Molinari 37
Pe. Lawrie 2 v GFC -2 (1-3)
Maybin 2 v Cabrera-Bello -2 (2-3)
A. Canizares 2 v Ogilvie 2 (2.5-3.5)

Hellmole's good run comes to an end with the scoreline probably flattering her after Pa's dominance in the overall scoring. Is Div A going to be turned on its head in the final few weeks...

Havret 2 v Donaldson -2 (4-2)

Only the 2nd defeat for TFG in a match he probably feels he could've won, not vintage stuff from MU#1Fan but the points are crucial at this stage.

Big Jon S v Stu961

Els -2 v Mickelson -2
Schwartzel 2 v Els -2
Z. Johnson 2 v F. Molinari 20
Wood -2 v Choi -2 (1-3)
GFC -2 v Fowler -2 (1.5-3.5)
Dixon 2 v Willett 2 (2-4)

Yet another surprise result as cellar dweller Stu bags a much needed win to keep his playoff hopes alive.

Spencer4 v Bye

Just about the perfect week for Spencer as he strengthens his position in 2nd. TFG stays top despite losing, however his run at the head of affairs will definitely end next week with his bye week and the teams a point below playing each other.Rather bizarrely we could go into the final week with 7 of the 9 teams on 8 points :o

1. TFG 7-3-2-2-21.5-20.5-8 (Bye, Hell)
2. Spencer4 6-3-1-2-21-15-7 (Kdub, BJS)
3. Hellmole 6-3-1-2-20.5-15.5-7 (MU#, TFG)
4. MU#1Fan 6-3-1-2-20-16-7 (Hell, Stu)

5. Kdub 7-3-1-3-21.5-20.5-7 (Sp4, Bye)
6. Pa102aw 6-2-2-2-17.5-18.5-6 (Stu, tgp)
7. TGP 6-3-0-3-17.5-18.5-6 (BJS, Pa)
8. BigJonS 6-2-1-3-15.5-20.5-5 (tgp, Sp4)
9. Stu961 6-1-1-4-13-23-3 (Pa, MU#)

Trickster v Padmole

Mickelson -2 v Els -2
Els -2 v Jaidee 2
McDowell 2 v E. Molinari 37
Choi -2 v F. Molinari 20 (0.5-3.5)
Day 8 v Derksen 7 (1.5-3.5)
Canizares 2 v Hayes -2 (2.5-3.5)

Padmole dominate the scoring but only just scrape home, is it enough to keep him alive for 1 more week...

Mr Green v Toffeelover

Mickelson -2 v Els -2
T. Clark 16 v Yang -2
McDowell 2 v T. Clark 16
Donaldson -2 v McDowell 2 (1.5-2.5)
Fraser 7 v F. Molinari 20 (1.5-3.5)
Blanks -2 v R. Davies 2 (1.5-4.5)

Toffeelover's quarter final berth looks assured. Mr Green needs snookers now.

Lister v Logans Run (Grudge game)

Mickelson -2 v Jaidee 2
Kaymer -2 v McDowell 2
Els -2 v Noh -2
McDowell 2 v Chalmers 11 (0.5-3.5)
Gallacher 25 v Pe. Lawrie 2 (1.5-3.5)
Khan -2 v M. Jones 18 (1.5-4.5)

Lister's unbeaten run comes to a rather unseemly end, Mrs Lister being absolutely ruthless - can she now qualify at his expense ???

Jonathan v Exeter Up-start

Mickelson -2 v Kaymer -2
Schwartzel 2 v Els -2
McDowell 2 v Goosen -2
Rock -2 v Mcdowell 2 (2.5-1.5)
de Jonge 16 v Wood -2 (3.5-1.5)
Price -2 v Blanks -2 (4-2)

Jonathan's late charge continues and like Division A, the B Division is starting to turn about face.

Hotpot v Bye

Another good week for the bye team, as they don't lose ground on the teams above or lose places to the teams below - with the notable exception of Toffeelover who now needs 1 point to confirm his QF spot. Paddy and Jonathan have finally hit top gear but is it too little too late.

1. Toffeelover 6-5-0-1-21-15-10 (Exe, Pad)
2. Lister 6-3-2-1-20.5-15.5-8 (Mr G, Hot)
3. Trickster 7-3-2-2-23-19-8 (Hot, Bye)
4. Exeter Up Start 6-3-1-2-19-17-7 (Toff, Mr G)
--------------------------------
5. Hotpot 6-2-2-2-17.5-18.5-6 (Tric, List)
6. Logans Run 7-3-0-4-19.5-22.5-6 (Bye, Jon)
7. Padmole 6-2-0-4-16.5-19.5-4 (Jon, Toff)
8. Jonathan 6-2-0-4-15.5-20.5-4 (Pad, Log R)
9. Mr Green 6-1-1-4-15.5-20.5-3 (List, Exe)

Woo-hoo, am already there

Logans Run in 6th has only one match left so cannot catch me. Hotpot in 5th needs 2 wins to catch me, which will then mean Trickster (in third with 1 match remaining) can't :)

The pivotal penultimate week of the matchplay groups. We could see a few teams dreams of success shattered this week.

Division A

Spencer4 v Kdub
Goosen 2 v Mickelson 0
Donald 22 v Villegas 2
T. Clark 20 v O'Hair -2
Choi 10 v Rose 0 (4-0)
Barnes 2 v McDowell 0 (5-0)
Henry 2 v Barnes 2 (5.5-0.5)

Almost the first whitewash of the season and with Kdub on a bye next week his Matchplay season is over. Spencer moves to the top of the League but is his QF berth now secured....

Hellmole v MU#1Fan
P. Hanson 2 v Casey -2
JM Singh 2 v Goosen 2
Snedeker -2 v O'Hair -2
Pe. Lawrie -2 v P. Hanson 2 (2-2)
Rumford 20 v De Jonge 10 (3-2)
Stroud 2 v O. Fisher 2 (3.5-2.5)

A crucial win for Hellmole who must surely fancy her chances of advancing now. MU's season is not done just yet though...

Pa102aw v Stu961
Casey -2 v Donald 22
E. Molinari 22 v Choi 10
Ames 2 v Fowler -2
Cabrera-Bello 2 v Appleby 2 (2.5-1.5)
Chopra 2 v Molder 20 (2.5-2.5)
Ogilvie 2 v Finch -2 (3.5-2.5)

Pa keeps his season alive with a last hole victory, Stu's slow start eventually costing him his chance

The Gents Persuader v Big Jon S
Goosen 2 v Els 0
Mahan 6 v Mahan 6
Donaldson 15 v Schwartzel 0
Storm 2 v Donald 22 (2.5-1.5)
De Jonge 10 v Echinique 27 (2.5-2.5)
Levin 2 v Dixon 2 (3-3)

A chance missed for tgp who is held to a draw by a weakened Big Jon S team, how does that effect the table...

Bye week - a rather nervous TFG

1. Spencer4 7-4-1-2-26.5-15.5-9 (BJS)
2. Hellmole 7-4-1-2-24-18-9 (TFG)
3. TFG 7-3-2-2-21.5-20.5-8 (Hell)
4. Pa102aw 7-3-2-2-21-21-8 (tgp)
------------------------------
5. MU#1Fan 7-3-1-3-22.5-19.5-7 (Stu)
6. TGP 7-3-1-3-20.5-21.5-7 (Pa)
7. Kdub 8-3-1-4-22-26-7 (Bye)
8. BigJonS 7-2-2-3-18.5-23.5-6 (Sp4)
9. Stu961 7-1-1-5-15.5-26.5-3 (MU#)

Wow, what a final week we have. Spencer looks home and hosed and would need an incredible set of results to miss out. A point would be enough to secure a QF berth for Hellmole but defeat could theoretically see her miss out. TFG can advance with a defeat but would need a strange set of results, a draw may not be enough but a win makes certain.

Pa moves into the top 4 for the first time during the Matchplay (crazy how the bottom 2 in the overall league could advance to the QFinals of the matchplay  Like TFG a point may be enough for Pa but a win makes certain. tgp needs to win and hope either TFG or MU#1Fan fail to win. MU#1 Fan needs a win and results to go his way - may go down to points difference between him and Hellmole or TFG depending on their result.

Big Jon S can theoretically qualify but needs to start praying now for that sort of sized miracle.

Division B

Toffeelover v Exeter Up Start
Casey -2 v Goosen 2
Donald 22 v Donald 22
T. Clark 20 v Kuchar 20
Kuchar 20 v Cejka -2 (2-2)
Fowler -2 v Canete 2 (2-3)
Ruiz 2 v Mulroy -2 (3-3)

Toffee gets the point he needed to secure his advancement. Exeter gains a valuable point

Lister v Mr Green
Donald 22 v Westwood 0
Immelman 10 v Donald 22
Jacquelin 2 v O'Hair -2
De Jonge 10 v T. Clark 20 (2-2)
Atwal 2 v Donaldson 15 (2-3)
Riley 6 v M. Jones 2 (3-3)

A brave effort from Mr Green but any faint hopes he had of qualifying are now over, is the point enough to secure Lister's place in the QF's....

Trickster v Hotpot
O'Hair -2 v Donald 22
Choi 10 v D. Johnson 9
P. Hanson 2 v Kuchar 20
Noh 9 v Oosthuizen 25 (1-3)
A. Canizares 0 v De Jonge 10 (1-4)
Luiten 2 v O. Fisher 2 (1.5-4.5)

A bit of a humping for Trickster at just the wrong time, both live to fight on in the final week, albeit Trickster will have to watch nervously from the sidelines as it's his bye week

Padmole v Jonathan
Karlsson 21 v Donald 22
E. Molinari 22 v Barnes 2
Derksen 4 v Rock -2
Rumford 20 v De Jonge 10 (3-1)
Hayes -2 v Price -2 (3.5-1.5)
Stroud 2 v Thatcher -2 (4.5-1.5)

It was a match neither side could aford to lose and Padmole quite deservedly came out on top. Can his miracle run to the Qfinals be capped with a top 4 finish in the final week

Bye week - Logans Run

1. Toffeelover 7-5-1-1-24-18-11 (Pad)
2. Lister 7-3-3-1-23.5-18.5-9 (Hot)
T3. Hotpot 7-3-2-2-22-20-8 (List)
T3. Exeter Up Start 7-3-2-2-22-20-8 (Mr G)
--------------------------------
5. Trickster 8-3-2-3-24.5-23.5-8 (Bye)
6. Padmole 7-3-0-4-21-21-6 (Toff)
7. Logans Run 7-3-0-4-19.5-22.5-6 (Jon)
8. Jonathan 7-2-0-5-17-25-4 (Log R)
9. Mr Green 7-1-2-4-18.5-23.5-4 (Exe)

Toffeelover has a QF berth and a final week draw will guarantee him the top seeding from group B. Lister's place is also confirmed and only he can wrestle the #1 seeding from Toffee. Trickster drops out of the top 4 but despite his bye next week he is not dead and buried just yet as he may yet leapfrog Hotpot &/or Exeter up start if either/both lose next week - both simply need draws to advance.

Padmole can start thinking his name is on the trophy if he beats Toffeelover and qualifies (by no means a certainty) Whilst Logans Run probably needs to whitewash Jonathan to have any hope of advancing.

Holmes 12 v GFC 22
Dredge -2 v Echenique -2 (0.5-3.5)
Barnes 2 v Couch 2 (1-4)
Henry 2 v Dixon 2 (1.5-4.5)

Big Jon secures a big win keeping his QF dreams alive, will other results go his way....Spencer misses out on the #1 seed

Hellmole v TFG

McIlroy 2 v Crane 2
Snedeker 7 v Davies -2
Maybin -2 v Maybin -2
Pe. Lawrie -2 v Donaldson 2 (2-2)
Rumford 14 v O. Fisher -2 (3-2)
A. Canizares 2 v Gronberg -2 (4-2)

A disaster for TFG, has it cost him a QF berth, Hellmole wins the division and secures the #1 seed

Pa102aw v the gents persuader

E. Molinari 0 v Kuchar 2
Ames 2 v Rose 2
GFC 22 v Donaldson 2
Cabrera-Bello -2 v Storm 2 (1.5-2.5)
Chopra -2 v Zanotti -2 (2-3)
Ogilvie 2 v de Jonge 22 (2-4)

Pa's Matchplay dreams go up in smoke, is it enough for tgp though....

MU#1Fan v Stu961

Kuchar 2 v Rose 2
Immelman -2 v F. Molinari 15
de Jonge 22 v Appleby 37
Havret 2 v Overton 32 (0.5-3.5)
Gallacher 2 v Finch 2 (1-4)
O. Fisher -2 v Couch 2 (1-5)

Stu ends the hopes of MU fans everywhere but despite a crushing 5-1 victory finishes bottom of the Division

Kdub v bye

1. Hellmole 8-5-1-2-28-20-11
2. Spencer4 8-4-1-3-28-20-9
3. TGP 8-4-1-3-24.5-23.5-9

8. Kdub 8-3-1-4-22-26-7
9. Stu961 8-2-1-5-20.5-27.5-5

Points difference proves to be vital in Division A with TFG holding off Big Jon S & Pa102aw by the slenderest of margins. Much rejoicing in the TFG household - quite how you can be so far adrift in the main League and still qualify for the latter stages of the Matchplay is almost unbelievable 8-)

DIVISION B

Toffeelover v Padmole

Kuchar 2 v Kuchar 2
McDowell 2 v F. Molinari 15
F. Molinari 15 v Derksen 5
Davies -2 v Petrovic -2 (2-2)
Driscoll -2 v Rumford 14 (2-3)
Ruiz -2 v Stroud 14 (2-4)

Has Paddy turned Mission impossible into the possible mission, a resounding victory over bitter rival Toffeelover leaves him with hope....Toffeelover now has a nervy wait for Lister's result to see who lays claim to the #1 seeding and a QF with TFG :D

Lister v Hotpot

McDowell 2 v McIlroy 2
Davies -2 v Kuchar 2
Immelman -2 v F. Molinari 15
De Jonge 22 v Goydos -2 (1.5-2.5)
Atwal 2 v de Jonge 22 (1.5-3.5)
Gallacher 2 v Jones -2 (2.5-3.5)

Lister's defeat means it's you and me in the Quarter's Toffee. Hotpot's win leaves Paddy needing Mr Green to beat Exeter - can it happen, will it happen....

Exeter up start v Mr Green

Kuchar 2 v Westwood 0
McDowell 2 v McIlroy 2
Wood 27 v McDowell 2
Cejka -2 v Donaldson 2 (2.5-1.5)
Overton 32 v Fraser -2 (3.5-1.5)
Canete 2 v Jones -2 (3.5-2.5)

The end of the road for Padmole, brave, brave effort but just too much work left to do. Exeter secures a QF spot.

Logans Run v Jonathan

Harrington 32 v Rose 2
Kuchar 2 v McDowell 2
McDowell 2 v Barnes 2
Noh 5 v Rock -2 (3-1)
Pe. Lawrie -2 v Overton 32 (3-2)
Jones -2 v de Jonge 22 (3-3)

Ultimately a meaningless fixture as results elsewhere ensured Logans Run season was over

Trickster v bye

1. Toffeelover 8-5-1-2-26-22-11
2. Hotpot 8-4-2-2-25.5-22.5-10
3. Exeter Up Start 8-4-2-2-25.5-22.5-10
4. Lister 8-3-3-2-26-22-9

5. Padmole 8-4-0-4-25-23-8
6. Trickster 8-3-2-3-24.5-23.5-8
7. Logans Run 8-3-1-4-22.5-25.5-7
8. Jonathan 8-2-1-5-20-28-5
9. Mr Green 8-1-2-5-21-27-4

Hotpot edges 2nd place thanks to their group game - although that matched finished tied at 3-3 Hotpot's team scored 42 points compared to Exeter's 40

Hotpot v Exeter up start

Fowler 10 v Kaymer 2
De Jonge 14 v Els -2
Jones 10 v Cejka 22
Pernice -2 v Fraser 2 (2-2)
Couch -2 v Blanks 14 (2-3)
O. Fisher 12 v Canete 2 (3-3)

So the Quarter Finals are as follows

Absolutely gutted :( :( ;)

Did Mr Green take a bung in order to assist my demise. Having an incomplete team at such a vital stage of the season..................He'll be playing for Wolves next season at this rate.

I had planned my whole season around peaking just in time for play offs and it has been all blown to pits by a part - time player who clearly doesnt really follow golf closely as Westwood was never going to play.

I think we need to look at a 10 place deduction "a la Schumacher" for next season.

Yours

padmole aka J Overton. (As for Overton swearing - take a look at J Morrision next time he plays.................absolutely foul mouthed and gives off the impression of having an IQ lower than his best round!)

You should be, given the skill with which I negotiated the group phase you should all be very worried.

Right Toffee, lets see how day 1 panned out.

Mickelson T72 v Casey T33 - Mick in danger of missing the cut, slight advantage Toffee
O'Hair T33 v Els T58 - not much happening here, slight edge to TFG
Mahan T44 v Kuchar T20 - advantage Toffee (just)
Scott T3 v F. Molinari T7 - another one thats almost too close to call advantage TFG (barely)
Colsaerts T70 v Dyson T7 - the first mismatch, strongly in Toffee's favour
Gallacher T2 v Van Pelt T44 - this looks like going TFG's way

Looks pretty much even Steven so far, but you could have a significant advantage tomorrow if Mickelson & Colsaerts both miss the cut.

In the remaining less interesting Quarter Finals Lister, Hotpot & Spencer appear to have had the best of day 1.

After 3 rounds:

    Mickelson MC v Casey T12 - 1 - 0 to Toffee
    Gallacher T3 v Van Pelt MC - Gone TFG's way  1 - 1
    Colsaerts T42 v Dyson T3 - Dare I give myself this one?............yes! 2 - 1 to Toffee
To be decided:

    O'Hair T33 v Els T58 - draw? Hopefully!
    Mahan T28 v Kuchar T5 - advantage Toffee :)
Scott 4 v F. Molinari 1 - battle of the giants, could go either way.

Quietly confident, but your 94 shows that anything can happen in this game TFG! ;)

TFG v Toffeelover

Mickelson v Casey -2 v 11 (0-1)
O'Hair v Els 2 v 2 (0.5 v 1.5)
Mahan v Kuchar 2 v 32 (0.5 v 2.5)
Scott v F. Molinari 14 v 22 (0.5 v 3.5)
Colsaerts v Dyson 2 v 17 (0.5 v 4.5)
Gallacher v Van Pelt 9 v -2 (1.5 v 4.5)

A drubbing for TFG leaves him with a mountain to climb on Toffee's turf in a fortnight's time. It's not over yet but I can hear a fat lady singing....

TGP v Hotpot

Stricker v Mickelson 22 v -2 (1-0)
Mahan v McIlroy 2 v 2 (1.5-0.5)
Kuchar v D. Johnson 32 v 19 (2.5-0.5)
Storm v Kuchar 2 v 32 (2.5-1.5)
Rumford v F. Molinari 27 v 22 (3.5-2.5)
De Jonge v De Jonge -2 v -2 (4-2)

Hotpot will be disappointed to find himself 4-2 down but with the home leg to come all is not lost.

Exeter Up Start v Spencer4

Els v Stricker 2 v 22 (0-1)
Goosen v McIlroy 2 v 2 (0.5-1.5)
Donald v D. Johnson 8 v 19 (0.5-2.5)
Kuchar v Jiminez 32 v 22 (1.5-2.5)
Overton v F. Molinari 2 v 22 (1.5-3.5)
Blanks v Gallacher -2 v 9 (1.5-4.5)

Spencer wipes the floor with Exeter, 4.5-1.5 is a big ask, things are looking decidely glum in the Exeter household.

Lister v Hellmole

Woods v Mickelson 2 v -2 (1-0)
Donald v McIlroy 8 v 2 (2-0)
D. Johnson v Els 19 v 2 (3-0)
P. Hanson v P. Hanson 4 v 4 (3.5-0.5)
De Jonge v Snedeker -2 v -2 (4-1)
Gallacher v Pe. Lawrie 9 v -2 (5-1)

Hellmole takes a battering with the heaviest defeat of the week, Lister takes a 4 point cushion to Chez Hellmole in 2 weeks
